Cath Lab Tech Staff RN, FT, Piedmont Columbus Midtown

Description Under the supervision of the Director of Cardiac Services, the incumbent performs duties involving direct patient care and operation of highly sophisticated radiographic and computer equipment in the interventional cardiac catheterization laboratory.
The Technologist will assist the Cardiologist and/or Interventional Cardiologist during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
The Technologist must possess a general knowledge of infection control guidelines, universal precautions, sterile procedures, and must work cohesively with a team.
Requirements MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an approved and accredited Radiologic Technology Program or Registered Nurse program is required.
ACLSBLSMINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two years' experience in clinical cardiology or critical care experience in ED or ICUMINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
GA RN license if applicableADDITIONAL
Qualifications:
RCIS certification preferred.
Current ACLS and BLS.
