Under direction of the Department Nursing Director, assists with directing and supervising nursing services and administration functions of the assigned nursing units.
Participates in providing direct patient care on a needed basis, and uses the role of bedside leader to improve positive patient care and work environment outcomes.
FLSA:
ExemptMinimum EducationX Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
X BSN required, or actively progressing toward completion within 2 yearsX Post graduate degree in a healthcare related field (MSN, MHA, MBA) preferred, with an active plan to progress towards completion within 3 years.
Required SkillsProfessional RN license in GeorgiaNursing leadership certification preferred, or actively progressing toward completion within 1 yearRequired SkillsBasic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work ExperienceMINIMUM 2 YEARS CLINICAL BEDSIDE NURSING EXPERIENCEMINIMUM 2 YEARS IN A SUPERVISORY/LEADERSHIP ROLE.
