6K a year 7 days ago 7 days ago 7 days ago Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor Columbus, GA Position Summary Exercise direct supervision over MS maintenance personnel involved in the installation, maintenance and repair of machine tools and equipment, electrical systems, mechanical systems, heating/cooling systems, and CNC operations.
This individual will play a key role in capital improvement and building improvement efforts providing guidance from planning through implementation and ongoing maintenance.
Key
Responsibilities:
Provides maintenance staffing and support to a three-shift operation.
Hiring and supervision of additional Maintenance Technicians Develops, implements, schedules, and completes a Predictive and Preventative Maintenance Program for all equipment and machinery.
Designs and implements maintenance strategies, procedures and methods and maintains an MRO inventory.
Responsible for supervising, monitoring, and developing maintenance technicians.
Determines schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities.
Provides support for production through identification and implementation of improvements concerning safety, efficiency, and quality.
Develops, implements, and evaluates maintenance policies and procedures, including information and documentation records for all maintenance procedures.
Compile time and cost estimates for equipment repair, as well as replacement recommendations.
Creates and maintains relationships with all outside contractors or service providers and arranges for and monitors all work being performed.
Provides guidance to management for equipment selection and capital projects.
Tracks repair and maintenance expenses in addition to capital expenditure requirements for machines and equipment.
Provides troubleshooting support for production.
Oversees problem solving and troubleshooting on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC equipment, including rigging, cranes, and hoists.
Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing 20 CNC Milling and Turning Centers equipped with Fanuc controls and auxiliary equipment.
Maintaining Machine Shop Facilities Working with OEM service technicians and contractors as needed Sourcing parts and ordering through shop purchasing dept Working with production personnel to schedule PM tasks.
Overseeing Machine Shop PM System Maintaining critical spares
Qualifications:
10
years in Maintenance Personagement Bachelor's degree (preferably engineering) and 3-5 years' experience or high school diploma with 7
years of experience.
Must be able to effectively communicate, written and verbally, within all levels of the organization.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to vendors and employees.
Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings.
Can prioritize tasks and make logical decisions in fast paced environment.
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Personagement Systems Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Familiar with all applicable building codes:
