Title: System Software Analyst II or Above Location: GA-Columbus
Summary
Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining distributed systems in TSYS environments. This includes all approved vendor hardware and software for enabling the developmental, operational and production support groups to perform their assigned tasks. Serves as a technical resource for the company and is responsible for resolving issues with the hardware and software used at TSYS installations.
The System Software Analyst II performs assigned tasks to install, maintain, monitor, document, and recover distributed systems. Plans clear, functionally defined assignments, goals, actions, and results. Evaluation of significant alternatives as well as originality is required at this level. Assists management in providing estimates of work effort and impact of projects and tasks. Assists junior team members in becoming active participants in maintenance functions.
The System Software Analyst II has a broad understanding of his/her role in the department and division, the structure of the company, and the corporate culture. Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
o Build and provision Windows Servers in complex customer deployments
o Design, implement and maintain multi-site Windows Active Directory infrastructures
o Design, implement and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure for TSYS environments.
o Design, implement and maintain large x86 implementations on IBM System X, IBM Pure Flex, Cisco UCS and HP BladeSystem hardware
Education/Experience
Four year college degree and 2 or more years professional experience or 4 or more years professional experience is required. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.
Required Skills/Qualifications
o Experience working with large internet facing environments
o Experience designing, implementing and maintaining Active Directory
o Experience with managing VMWare 5.x
o Experience with Virtual Center Management and Administration
o Experience with vSphere Server, vSphere Client, vCenter Operations Manager, and vCenter Server
o Installation and support of VMware View and Horizon 6 to include Pool Management, Entitlements, Upgrades, and Application publishing.
