F/T Strategic Analytics Consultant (Columbus, GA) Perform data analysis including but not limited to financial modeling, financial statement analysis and advanced statistical analysis in support of strategy and strategic initiative development. Determine and apply appropriate analytical approach including statistical methodology and tools. Interpret market trends and proactively identify opportunities. Support strategy development with appropriate analysis of internal and external factors. Assists in development and reporting of metrics in support of strategic efforts and/or business operations. Identify and highlight key trends and insights based on analysis. Monitor developments in the insurance marketplace and its impact to the company. Analyze macro-economic trends and metrics and provide insights to drive decision making. Critically analyze and summarize third party research material, company market research and other data sources. Create periodic reports that capture competitive, industry and regulatory developments. Assists senior team members in assessing and evaluating emerging issues. Carry out analysis to support development and assessment of strategic projects and initiatives including cost benefit analyses. Conduct benefit realization analysis on strategic initiatives to assess performance of initiatives to plan. Act as subject matter expert on Analytics. Maintain, execute, and evolve existing analytical and statistical models. Develop and maintain an internal and external network of analytical contacts. Must have a Masters Degree in Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Computational Finance, or a related quantitative field. Work or educational background must include experience with: financial modeling; financial statement analysis; statistical analysis; complex business and financial analysis including applied statistical techniques; SPSS and SAS for statistical analysis.
